Bharat Forge To Gear Operations With 1KEY BI Suite

MAIA Intelligence has announced that Bharat Forge Limited (BFL) has selected 1KEY Agile BI Suite to meet reporting and analytics challenges associated with their business growth. The company aims to leverage the ability of this software to generate complex reports as per their needs.

“BFL is collecting a massive amount of manufacturing, customer, and business data through a variety of channels. We needed a way to aggregate, understand, and analyse that information,” said Yogesh Zope, vice president, IT Services, Bharat Forge Limited. “We chose 1KEY because it will enable us to assemble all the relevant data for business users logically and in a structured and presentable reporting format. We found 1KEY solution best for its analytical richness, its ability to handle large data volumes, and its single consolidated interface for SAP and non-SAP data. My colleagues in other functional areas will be able to better manage demand, product lifecycle and supply chain performance and access and analyse data over the Web as well as on the desktop, enabling them to better manage their business. 1KEY will help us to better manage our manufacturing, sales and overall business,” he further added.

BFL will deploy 1KEY to collate and deliver performance management reports for business users and the top management. As a part of the project, MAIA team and its partners shall connect to SAP system and reports like Variance Analysis, Cost Reduction reports, Exports Tracking report, Actual consumption v/s Budget report, Daily Production report and so on will be generated.

To start with, data from the manufacturing, finance and operations will be connected to 1KEY’s information dashboards and reports for valuable insights into its inventory, costs, customers, profitability and key business areas, including revenue management, reservations, management reporting and performance analysis will be formulated and delivered. BFL also plans to use 1KEY for market performance analysis, operations, strategic account management, and global sales analysis on a daily basis.

“1KEY shall enable us to consolidate, process and analyse data from multiple data sources including SAP and EXCEL, and present the sales and costcControl data in a more intuitive format,” said Zope. “1KEY is expected to reduce time to decision as data collation and presentation time will be reduced.”
