Bajaj Capital has chosen RSA, the security division of EMC, to help secure its newly launched online investment and stock broking services - justtrade.in.
The RSA SecurID system is designed to offer Bajaj Capital a time-synchronous solution that automatically changes the user’s password every 60 seconds. Bajaj Capital will now be able to offer their online investors a comprehensive security solution engineered to reduce the possible risk of online platform misuse or access of critical information by external hackers. Moreover, the service can also free customers from the hassle of remembering their passwords and login identity from time to time as the RSA SecurID solution’s One-Time Password (OTP) provides the right balance between protection and convenience.
Justtrade.in was launched in January this year and two-factor authentication provided through the RSA SecurID solution is the latest addition to services provided by Bajaj Capital. The portal was launched with the aim to offer online investment solutions across shares, F&O, mutual funds and IPO to the new generation of Indian Investors. It is backed by sharp Research Advisory services and also offers an online Financial Planning tool.
Rajiv Deep Bajaj, vice chairman and managing director of Bajaj Capital Group, said, “With advancement in technology, e–transactions are on the rise and so is cyber crime. By offering the RSA SecurID solution, Bajaj Capital reiterates its commitment to the client’s security while investing online.”
“The young Indian investor needs speed, reliability and investment information at their convenience. Justtrade.in has been designed to meet these needs and partner their aspirations to create wealth. We decided on RSA’s SecurID two-factor authentication solution because of RSA’s position in the authentication market and due to the solution’s ease of use,” says Vinesh Menon, deputy CEO of Bajaj Capital’s Online Investment and Stock Broking business.
Through the RSA SecurID solution, the customer’s identity will be verified in two ways; using something they know (a password) and something they have (an RSA SecurID hardware authentication such as a token). The token - small enough to put on a key ring – contains an LCD display that displays a new, unpredictable code every 60 seconds. The user combines this randomly generated number with his or her secret Personal Identification Number (PIN) to log into the account via the justtrade.in portal.
