India’s B.G Shirke Construction Technology has selected Tekla as building information modelling (BIM) technology partner and software provider. The technology partnership aims at providing better infrastructure to the society by switching over to unified e-platform in precast design and construction on mass scale.
According to the company, the goal of the technology partnership is to design and execute even more highly detailed precast structures. This endeavour will result in better and modernised buildings by synchronising activities from the designing of the project till execution thereby avoiding and time overruns.

“Our objective right from the beginning is to modernise by total transformation into automation of civil engineering. With help of Tekla BIM software we can make our building processes more effective and manage the risk of unforeseen costs and loss of time,” said Yogesh Kajale, VP, planning and design, B.G. Shirke Construction Technology.
“Tekla BIM software enables us to integrate design and detailing with manufacturing, project management and efficient information sharing, which helps us to minimise manual work and errors. This is important as today all structures need to be modularly planned and erected speedily,” he added.
