atom Technologies plans to tie up with about 25 travel suppliers for their m-payments platform services. atom is looking at entering into a close alliance with airlines, tour operators, online travel agents and hotels to offer mobile payment solutions to their end consumers.
Several travel agencies like Flykrazzy, Oxward Travels and Ticketvala have recently started using these services. Apart from aiming to work with major travel suppliers, atom is targeting to have ‘a million’ subscribers on its m-payment gateways in the country by the end of March 2009.
“We aim to tie-up with all major travel service providers by March 2010. The travel industry is one of the fastest industries adopting the m-commerce platform. Thus, we are tapping it at the right time with the right focus. We are initially going to target airlines and online travel agents and later move to provide services to tour operators and hoteliers,” said Niranjan Gosavi, chief marketing officer, atom Technologies.
“Airlines can also tap on one more option for enhancing payment gateway solutions for their end consumers. We are offering various products and services for travel suppliers depending on the vertical,” stated Gosavi.
