ArrayShield, the provider of innovative pattern based two factor authentication products, has announced that its IDAS pattern based two-factor authentication platform can now protect Windows, Linux, UNIX and Solaris servers running in the cloud from multiple hacking attacks.
ArrayShield Two Factor Authentication provides greater levels of security, flexibility and functionality for those managing servers in public and hybrid cloud environments. One of the biggest barriers to enterprise cloud adoption is security concerns surrounding around password breaches of servers. When servers are exposed in internet it becomes easy for bots and attackers to compromise the password authentication through multiple forms of hacking attacks like brute force attack, dictionary attack and social engineering.
ArrayShield Two Factor Authentication can lock down administrative and application ports with a unique pattern based two-factor authentication, and notify critical cloud server security events to system administrators.
ArrayShield supports all major Linux distributions as well as UNIX, Solaris and Windows remote server access. With ArrayShield 2FA enterprises can look at a holistic approach that address vulnerabilities in all server environments, so that they can be rest assured that their cloud servers are secure.
ArrayShield IDAS is available in both on-premise and managed service offering delivered as Software-as-a-Service (SaaS). ArrayShield offers critical security controls for servers running on the cloud, allowing companies to adopt servers in public cloud/data center seamlessly without compromising on security levels provided.
Rakesh Thatha, CTO at ArrayShield commented, “Protecting access to administrative services like Windows RDP is critical in the cloud, where there is no outer perimeter of access control and administrative ports are often left open to the world. ArrayShield’s two-factor authentication for cloud servers helps customers easily and safely controls access to administrative and other applications.”
ArrayShield supports the following operating systems: Windows 2008 R1 and R2, Windows 2003 family, Windows 2012 family, RedHat Enterprise Linux, Fedora, CentOS, Debian, Ubuntu, Solaris and UNIX. ArrayShield IDAS runs on servers in any public or private cloud environment, including Amazon EC2, Rackspace, GoGrid, VMWare, OpenStack, and all other virtualisation and cloud stacks.
