Amway, a part of the Alticor group of companies, has selected and deployed Oracle Applications, Oracle SOA Suite and Oracle Application Integration Architecture Foundation Pack for a global technology initiative to promote and support 100 percent growth of its business by 2012.

By initially implementing Oracle Applications, Oracle SOA Suite and Oracle Application Integration Architecture Foundation Pack in three flagship countries – Australia, South Africa and New Zealand – Amway is building the foundation for its Project ATLAS initiative in order to standardise the company’s top ten business processes globally, grow business and reduce costs.

Planned as a phased roll-out globally across 60 countries, Amway’s Project ATLAS is also streamlining and standardising back-office transaction processes worldwide, while improving reporting and analytics to support better decision-making with Oracle.

Using Oracle Application Integration Architecture Foundation Pack and Oracle SOA Suite, Amway is standardising integrations across a front-end ‘global Web e-commerce system’ with the support and flexibility for seamless integration into third-party legacy systems and ERP applications for better insight into business data.

“As a global direct selling player, Amway reached a critical point where our technology infrastructure could not keep pace with our ambitious goal to increase total business by 100 percent within the next two years,” said Tina Abdoo, Manager-Enterprise Development, Amway. “Our choice of standardising on Oracle has been a huge win for all of our constituents, and we are already reaping the benefits. Working with Oracle has been an amazing kick-start for our SOA journey to save time and cost and accelerate our growth with a flexible technology foundation to meet future needs.”
