Aladdin Knowledge Systems has launched the Aladdin Attack Intelligence Research Centre, a premier facility for Internet security and cyber crime investigation.
Based at Aladdin’s headquarters in Israel, the Attack Intelligence Research Centre comprises global security researchers and law enforcement and cyber crime specialists dedicated to delivering security data and intelligence that educates, supports and strengthens the security community and drives innovation in Aladdin’s content security solutions.
Spearheaded by forensic Web specialist Ian Amit, director of security research at Aladdin Knowledge Systems, the Centre steps beyond traditional threat detection to provide business intelligence surrounding evolving threats, predict future trends in Internet security, and uncover the inner workings and affects of the business of e-crime. The findings enable organisations to implement best practices and build corporate policy to protect against zero-hour and future Internet threats that compromise legitimate business safety.
“Discovering malware is only half the battle — our mission is to go beyond threat detection and malicious code to identify where the threat came from, who is benefitting from it, and how threats ultimately affect real organisations today and in the future,” said Amit. “It is only through the understanding of how these threats are developed and delivered that we can protect our businesses today, and become educated and better prepared for tomorrow.”
Upcoming Attack Intelligence Research Centre Reports
The Centre will publish a semi-annual security trend report that not only recapitulates the Web threats of the previous six months, but also uses these findings to summarise trends in cyber crime and predict threats that will affect businesses in the next six months. This report will also recommend proactive actions organisations can take to protect against attacks. The Attack Intelligence Research Centre will also deliver 24x7 threat research, monthly threat forecasts, technical blogs, regular security updates, opt-in e-mail / SMS notifications and emergency support.
“Aladdin created the Attack Intelligence Research Centre to uncover valuable threat intelligence and provide predictive guidance that advances the understanding of the business of e-crime and ensures that organisations are better prepared to protect themselves against cyber crime attacks,” said Tsion Gonen, vice president of the Content Security Business Unit at Aladdin Knowledge Systems. “By focusing on the ever-changing e-crime tactics, the Centre is positioned to recommend best practices to the community and drive innovation in Aladdin’s content security solutions.”
