Oracle has announced that Airtel has implemented Oracle Communications Order Management and Inventory Management for streamlined business operations and superior service delivery.
This implementation expands Airtel’s existing usage of Oracle Communications Order Management and Inventory Management for Airtel’s Optical/SDH services. Airtel’s implementation has integrated the Oracle Communications solutions with its existing deployment of Oracle Financials and CRM to reduce the project’s total cost of ownership and deliver state-of-the-art customer service.
“Oracle Communications applications have helped Airtel transform and streamline the delivery of its enterprise IP, MPLS and optical services," said Bhaskar Gorti, senior vice president and general manager, Oracle Communications.
Oracle Communications Order Management coordinates diverse tasks that make up the end-to-end service fulfillment process, including installing equipment in a point of presence, triggering billing once the service is activated in the network and coordinating processes between engineering and operations.
Key features of Oracle Communications Inventory Management include enabling the tracking of all physical resources ranging from access media to physical equipment to asset locations and addresses and supporting end-customer services and network technologies with a variety of number and name resources.
