A-Set Training & Research Institute Sets Up Storage Networking Labs

A-Set Training & Research Institute, a computer hardware networking training institute in India, in partnership with HP India has inaugurated Storage Networking Labs to provide a platform for students to learn and work on upcoming technology in the storage domain.

The lab will provide access to a robust and specialized IT set-up for the students on HP’s storage portfolio comprising SAN, NAS and DAS solutions including back up recovery and consolidation systems such as HP Autoloader and HP DataProtector.

“India is one of the fastest growth markets for information storage in Asia-Pacific. With new and multiple storage technology and regulatory compliance gaining increasing importance, the pressure of having highly-skilled professionals is immense,” said Manoj Suvarna, Country Manager, HP StorageWorks, HP India. " This collaboration aims at transforming teaching through the use of SAN, NAS and DAS technologies to create the classroom of tomorrow, today, on its campus. This sits well with HP’s aim to help institutions drive innovation and create new models of success for integrating technology into learning".

Speaking on the launch occasion, CMD of A-Set, Prof. Uday kumar Vaish, says, “A-Set has setup a storage networking lab which is among the first few in an Indian hardware training institute, using the state-of-the-art HP storage products.”
