New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday condoled the death of veteran actor Sadashiv Amrapurkar, who he says, will be remembered for his versatility.

Sadashiv was hospitalised at the Kokilabein Dhirubai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai with lung infection. He died on Monday.

He was 64. His last rites will be performed in his native place in Ahmednagar district tomorrow, family sources said. Amrapurkar had won two Filmfare awards. In 1984, he won the award for the best supporting actor for “Ardh Satya” and
in 1991, the best villain trophy for his portrayal of a ruthless eunuch in “Sadak”.
