What happened when Steve Harvey and Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez met again? After the infamous goof-up that resulted in the Colombian being crowned Miss Universe for all of few minutes, Gutierrez had to relinquish her crown all thanks to ‘reading’ error by host Harvey. At the 20 December event, Harvey had mistakenly called out the first-runner up as the winner and after a good two minutes had passed, he came on to the stage again and said, “Okay…folks ummm, I have to apologise…the first runner up is Colombia.” [caption id=“attachment_2602016” align=“alignleft” width=“380”]  Steve Harvey and Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez in a screengrab from the video.[/caption] After scores of memes, jokes and humiliation, the two finally met again when Gutierrez appeared on The Steve Harvey Show, for the first time since the gaffe. Gutierrez was the picture of poise as she was not only gracious to appear on the show but also joked about the accidental crowning. “You have to learn how to read cards,” joked Gutiérrez. Harvey was gracious in his apologies as well. “You’re the one person that I really wanted to talk to, because of a mistake I made, I cast you into a spotlight or place that I never intended to, that I would not want to happen to anybody. I just want to say how sorry I am,” Harvey said. But according to TV show host Ellen DeGeneres, the reunion between Harvey and Gutierrez didn’t go as smooth as seen on the show. In a hilarious behind-the-scene footage, Ellen revealed how Gutierrez pummeled Harvey, who promptly retreated behind a sofa, all to the heavy audience applause. Well, all we can say is that we do not blame her, it gave us a good laugh. Watch the video here
