 "Game of Thrones trailer leaked: A wedding, funeral and other things that may happen in season 5")
After HBO tormented us with a blink-and-you-miss Snapchat version of Game of Thrones teaser, a trailer of the coming season has been leaked, which thankfully provides a little more insight. The good news is that this trailer is much longer than the teaser. The bad news is that instead of telling us which way the story will go next, it looks like our favourite characters are still stuck in their respective messes. Click here to watch the trailer:
Jaime and Cersei’s relationship is becoming as tremulous as Justin Beiber’s affair with Selena Gomez. The two are mourning the death of their father Tywin Lannister in the opening scene of the trailer. Tywin’s funeral is likely to take place in this season and we see Jaime standing over a coffin which is most probably Tywin’s. [caption id=“attachment_2072509” align=“alignleft” width=“380”]
Courtesy: Facebook[/caption] The most loved Lannister, Tyrion, on the other hand, has escaped to tropical Pentos with Varys. From Tyrion’s shabby stubble and dirty clothes, it doesn’t seem like an exotic holiday, but he seems to be keeping himself busy even in the free land. Very uncharacteristically, Tyrion is seen brooding over his father’s death and Sansa’s disappearance. Varys has no such worries. He is engaged in his regular plotting and planning. It seems Varys wants to convince Tyrion to join hands with Daenerys Targaryen.

of Tyrion and Daenerys sitting together was earlier leaked from GoT sets and therefore chances are that Varys’s plotting might just become fruitful eventually. Littlefinger is seen advising Sansa Stark to avenge the death of the Starks. Elsewhere, another Stark, Arya, has finally reached Bravos. Maisie Williams, who plays the role of Arya, had revealed during an interview to The Guardian that there will be a “big ending” for Arya Stark in Season 5. However, Arya Stark’s character is still alive in RR Martin’s books, so let us take heart in that. Margaery Tyrell finally seems to be getting what she has always wanted. In the trailer we see her holding hands with Tommen Baratheon. It seems like yet another wedding is likely to happen in GoT’s upcoming season. But given how unpredictable and deadly (literally) GoT weddings have been, we already know nuptials may not be a cause for celebration. Last but not the least, a Lonely Jon Snow is still fighting the wildings from other side of the wall. The new season of Game of Thrones will premiere on 12th April in America.
