The 2015 Audi A6 Matrix was launched in India at Rs 49.5 lakh (ex-Mumbai and Delhi).
The facelift was first seen last year at the Frankfurt motorshow and
we spotted the car being tested here earlier this year. The launch follows a series of rather baffling ads that most people couldn’t comprehend. The update gets new headlamps that feature
Audi’s Matrix LED technology that was first seen on the A8 last year. It also gets new tail lamps with revised bumpers, grilles and side sills. The A6 Matrix also gets Audi’s updated MMI with a remote control for rear passengers. On the safety front, the A6 Matrix gets eight airbags, two of which are dedicated to the rear seats.
It also gets an updated 2.0-litre TDI engine in a 190PS guise, mated to Audi’s seven-speed S tronic transmission. However, it will not be get the array of engine options offered in other markets. The adaptive air suspension seen in the top-end trim of the 2014 model will also be featured in the A6 Matrix.
This is Audi’s sixth launch this year after the Audi R8 LMX, Audi RS 7 Sportback, Audi TT Coupé, Audi RS 6 Avant and the facelifted Audi Q3.
