Huawei Enjoy 8 smartphone launched in China with FullView display, Snapdragon 430 SoC and dual cameras

After the global launch event that saw the announcement of the **Huawei P20, P20 Pro and the Mate RS** , the Chinese smartphone maker is back in its hometown and has announced a new range of smartphones for the market. Vmall.com[/caption] According to Gizmochina, Huawei announced a new an updated version of the Enjoy 7 called the Enjoy 8 that is a budget smartphone series specific to the China market. The **Enjoy 8 builds on the Enjoy 7** and presents an affordable smartphone with features usually reserved for the mid-range segment. The design while looking similar to the **Honor 9 Lite** , distinguishes itself with the LED flash sitting inside the camera ring on the back. Unlike the **Honor 9 Lite** , the Enjoy 8 only gets a single camera on the front hinting that the new range possibly sits below the the former from Honor’s stable. The **Huawei** Enjoy 8 arrives in two variants that come with identical designs save for the material used on the back of the devices. Vmall.com[/caption] The gold, black and pink models come with a matte-finished back while the blue model comes with a glossy glass back. Compared to the Enjoy 7, the device features a new look with a new 5.99-inch 18:9 aspect ratio display covered with a sheet of 2.5 D curved glass. The fingerprint reader is mounted at the rear below the camera and the device also supports face unlock. [caption id=“attachment_4410913” align=“alignnone” width=“1280”]The Huawei Enjoy 8. Vmall.com The Huawei Enjoy 8. Vmall.com[/caption] Inside, buyers will get a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC that will be available in two RAM and storage options. The 3 GB RAM + 32 GB storage variant has been priced at 1,299 CNY (approximately Rs 13,000) while the high-end 4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage variant will be available at 1,499 CNY (approximately Rs 15,000). Both variants come with a third dedicated SIM slot for microSD storage expansion supporting cards of up to 256 GB. [caption id=“attachment_4410915” align=“alignnone” width=“1280”]The Huawei Enjoy 8. Vmall.com[/caption] As for the cameras, the Enjoy 8 features a 13 MP + 2 MP dual camera setup on the rear and single 8 MP camera on the front accompanied by a soft light for selfies. Connectivity options include, 4G LTE bands, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.2, a 3.5 mm headphone jack and a microUSB port for charging and data transfers. Powering all of the above is 3,000 mAh battery and the device runs Huawei’s EMUI 8.0 that gets buyers Android 8.0 Oreo right out of the box. There are currently no details available as to whether the Huawei Enjoy will make it to global markets.
