Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan surveyed the flood hit areas of Madhya Pradesh to assess the damage, and as per his tweet, ‘provide consolation’ to the victims of the calamity. What could go wrong you may ask? This humble tweet only indicates a minister hard at work.

“I surveyed the flood affected areas in Panna city. The villages of Gadhokhar, Kamtana, Singhori have been affected and I’ve provided support to the villages, the leader tweeted out, but the Twitterati were quick to point out that there were certain, not-so-PR-friendly pictures that Chouhan failed to share.

While the situation is the definition of a comi-tragedy, the focus must be on the disaster that the floods in Madhya Pradesh are causing. The deluge has already cost 17 lives and 4,500 people have been rescued, but heavy rainfall is still expected. Let us not forget the victims of the floods amidst mocking Chouhan.
