The SP workers, according to Vinod Gautam, were angry over their candidate losing from Jhansi. When the media persons tried to interact with them over the election results, the workers allegedly got furious and started destroying the media crew and cameras.

The journalists ran for cover and hid themselves in a school building’s bathrooms, where they are still hiding to save themselves from the mob.

The mob is allegedly threatening to break open the doors of the bathroom and kill the scribes, reported NDTV.

NDTV also reported that senior SP leaders have been made aware of the situation but no action has yet been taken.
