Kejriwal refuses hospitalisation, slams Delhi Police

A frail and fiery Arvind Kejriwal today said that he will not get admitted to a hospital as advised by doctors of government-run Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital in New Delhi. “Our team of doctors don’t believe that we need to be hospitalised. The government doctors say that we should immediately be sent to hospital. Is this a conspiracy to make us break the fast?” Kejriwal said at the fast venue at Janata Mantar in New Delhi.[caption id=“attachment_400810” align=“alignleft” width=“380”] ![](https://images.firstpost.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/Kejriwal-Jantar-Danish1.jpg "Kejriwal-Jantar-Danish") Arvind Kejriwal. Danish Raza/Firstpost[/caption] The firebrand Team Anna member even questioned the report RML doctors gave to Delhi Police on the basis of which he was asked to break the fast. “I don’t see any reason why he should be sent to hospital,” Ran Singh Arya, the naturopath who has been supervising Kejriwal’s health, said. Arya said that all depends on one’s will power. Taking a tough stand against Delhi Police, Kejriwal said, “Delhi Police can forcibly take me to the hospital but they can not make me eat. W will resist all attempts against feeding us in the hospital.” Kejriwal made it clear that in the current agitation his team is not interested in talking to the government. He asked the people to surround the houses of elected representatives across the country. “This is a do or die situation. If you continue sitting at home, you will be committing treason,” Kejriwal, who was wearing a white kurta pyjama, said. He also offered a unique way of protest to the people of the country. Kejriwal said everyday from 7pm to 7.15pm, protesters should beat spoons on plates. “The government is deaf. You have to male them listen to your voice,” the Team Anna member said. Another member of the team, Manish Sisodia, said that duty of the police was to arrest criminals. “We will not let police break our fast,” said Sisodia.
