Bihar: Youth throws boiling water on girl for 'unfriending’ him on FB

In a shocking incident,  a Bihar youth reportedly threw boiling water on the face of a girl because she had ‘unfriended’ him from her Facebook friend’s list. According to reports,  a Class X student - Yudhisthir Yadav – poured boiling water on the face of a 15 year old because she had removed Yadav from her friends’ list on Facebook. The girl has suffered 20 percent burns on her face  and is currently admitted to a hospital for treatment. [caption id=“attachment_1240119” align=“alignright” width=“380”]  Getty images[/caption] The incident happened on Wednesday in Gannipur mohalla under Kazimohammadpur police station. The police said that the boy used to take tuitions from the girl’s father. The boy and the girl became friends and established contact on Facebook as well a year back.  However, the girl removed the boy from her friends’ list after he started getting abusive. An FIR has been registered against the accused, an undergraduate student at a government college in Muzaffarpur. Deputy superintendent of police (Muzaffarpur city) Upendra Kumar said the police have launched a hunt for the accused who is absconding.
