New Delhi: Army Chief Gen V K Singh is understood to have issued a show cause notice to a top officer in connection with a Court of Inquiry (CoI) held to probe a robbery case under the Eastern Command.

Sources close to the top officer said he has been asked to report on duty tomorrow morning to be handed over the show cause notice.
The officer served the notice is among the top ones slated to be in race for the top post on a later occasion.
There was no confirmation from the office of Army Chief on this issue.
