Madhya Pradesh home minister Uma Shankar and DGP Nandan Dubey have ruled out the involvement of the mining mafia in Kumar’s death. Meanwhile India Against Corruption has also submitted a memorandum to state Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan demanding the passage of the Lokayukta bill in the state. “Indians will not be mute spectators to this political tamasha. Team Anna and thousands of Indians will organise a 3- da fast and protest in Bhopal to pay tribute to Kumar and demand a stronger law for whistle-blowers,” said a statement released by IAC. Team Anna received permission to conduct their fast at Jantar Mantar- the venue where Hazare started the Lokpal movement in April last year. The Delhi leg of the protest will begin at 11am and is expected to see a large number of whistle- blowers from across the country attend. Family members of slain activists will also be present.
