SPYder trailer: Mahesh Babu, SJ Suryah dominate AR Murugadoss' espionage thriller

The teaser of AR Murugadoss’ espionage thriller SPYder introduced the lead actor Mahesh Babu as a suave intelligence agent. YouTube[/caption] Now that the trailer of the film is out, the spider has gone missing. Though the almost two minute long trailer is devoid of the fascinating spider, it does give out the impression of an intriguing spy plot. The trailer can be divided into three parts, separated by foot-tapping stylised dance numbers composed by Harris Jayaraj. The first phase is the introduction of Babu’s character as an Intelligence Bureau agent, who claims that he is not a Superman or Batman but intends to bring change to the world. The second phase introduces the actress Rakul Preet Singh as his love interest. Their love blossoms over multiple encounters, including in local buses and book stores. The third phase, which is arguably the most interesting but, introduces the antagonist SJ Suryah. He looks menacing and is surely up to no good as he sketches this conniving plot to destroy the country through a bio-chemical disaster, which surprisingly also involves a humongous rolling stone trampling down the entire city. Then comes Babu who vows to save the world. A fairly simplistic plot, the film does seem promising nonetheless. SPYder also stars Bharath, RJ Balaji, Priyadarshi Pullikonda and Shaji Chen. It is a Tamil-Telugu bilingual and will mark Telugu superstar Babu's Tamil debut . It is produced by NVR Cinema and is slated to release this Dushhera on 27 September. Watch the Tamil trailer below.
