Anil Sharma’s next Genius, the debut vehicle for his son Utkarsh and newcomer Ishita Chauhan, has announced its final release date. The director tweeted that the film will hit the big screens on 24 August, which is the Friday right before the Raksha Bandhan weekend.

The movie also stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Ayesha Jhulka, who will return to the big screen after a long time. While Nawazuddin’s role is still under wraps, Ayesha will play the mother of Utkarsh’s love interest, played by Ishita.

The first look poster of the film as well as debutant Utkarsh’s first look had been revealed sometime ago, as tweeted by leading trade analyst Taran Adarsh.

Anil Sharma is best known for directing the 2001 classic cross border drama Gadar.
