While Israel is at war with Hamas, the citizens of the country are becoming the worst sufferers. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu described the horrific killings and atrocities by the “barbarians” that the country has been facing. ‘Hamas an enemy worse than ISIS’ “We saw the wild animals. We saw the barbarians that we are facing. We saw a cruel enemy. An enemy worse than ISIS. We saw boys and girls, bound, shot in the head. Men and women burned alive. Young women raped and slaughtered. Fighters decapitated… In one place, they set fire to tires around them, and burned them alive,” Netanyahu said. “How staggering the atrocity. How great the pain,” he said. ‘Israel fighting with full force’ Netanyahu also highlighted the acts of heroism of those who fought the terrorists. He said, now, Israel is fighting with full force, on every front. “We have gone onto the attack,” he added. The statement by Netanyahu came after he and the opposition, National Unity party leader Benny Gantz became partners to form a “national emergency government.” As part of the arrangement, Gantz, Netanyahu and Israel’s Defence Minister Yoav Gallant will form a war cabinet, and four more of Gantz’s party members will join the broader security cabinet. Netanyahu, during his address, also vowed that “every Hamas member is a dead man.” ‘Hamas worse than ISIS’ The Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) in a post on X said, “Hamas is a genocidal terrorist organisation. Hamas is worse than ISIS.”

Earlier on Thursday, IDF spokesperson Jonathan Conricus said the military “can say with relative confidence” that infants were beheaded by Hamas terrorists who attacked kibbutz Be’eri on Saturday. Delivering an IDF situational update early Conricus said: “Out of 1,000 Israelis who lived in this beautiful community, 100 were killed. Today, body bags, many body bags, were evacuated from that kibbutz, including those of children, and including those of babies.” “We got very, very disturbing reports that came from the ground that there were babies that had been beheaded. And I admit it took us some time to really understand and to verify that report and it was hard to believe that even Hamas could perform such a barbaric act,” Conricus said. Reports of infants and other civilians being beheaded by Hamas have been repeated by Netanyahu’s spokesperson and at least one IDF serviceman. With inputs from agencies
