Watch: Old lady scolds men suspected to be Islamic State militants

Imagine the kind of courage you need to stand up to people from a terrorist organisation that releases videos of them beheading people and burning them alive. Courtesy: YouTube[/caption] This is why the video of an old lady scolding militants suspected to belong to the Islamic State and telling them to mend their ways will fill you up with sheer awe and admiration. “Oh you devils, turn back to God,” shouts the old lady at some people in a car. “Do not slaughter anyone and nobody will slaughter you.” The woman did not even stop when the people in the car laugh at her and told her they did not have time to listen to her. “It’s all forbidden. I swear nothing what you have done was in the way of God,” she said. “None of you will win anything….only you will keep killing each other like donkeys.” However, BBC reported that it was doubtful whether the men she was shouting at were actually Islamic State fighters. “Experts on Syria told (BBC) Trending that because it is difficult to be certain where (the) video was shot. It’s not possible to ascertain which fighting faction the old woman was speaking to,” said the report. The report added that one of the comments on the video said, “If they were IS they would have killed her.”

That is not difficult to believe after the Islamic State released a video on Sunday that appeared to show the beheadings of 21 Egyptian Christians in Libya. The footage showing the deaths of the Egyptians appeared on the Twitter feed of a website that supports Islamic State, which has seized parts of Iraq and Syria and has also beheaded Western hostages. In the video, militants in black marched the captives, dressed in orange jump suits, to a beach the group said was near Tripoli. They were forced down onto their knees, then beheaded. A caption on the five-minute video read: “The people of the cross, followers of the hostile Egyptian church.” Before the killings, one of the militants stood with a knife in his hand and said: “Safety for you crusaders is something you can only wish for.” (With inputs from Reuters)
