Watch: Nepal Parliament evacuated after 7.4 magnitude earthquake

Just two weeks after the devastating earthquake that left more 7,700 dead and flattened towns and villages, another earthquake struck Nepal on Tuesday, this time 7.4 in magnitude. Many parts of north India felt the tremors including Delhi, West Bengal, Assam, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan.

The Nepal Parliament was under way when the earthquake hit and was immediately evacuated.

The incident was caught on video where the MPs can been seen running out of the building.

The epicentre has been located on the Nepal-China border, 83 km east of Kathmandu.

There was also another tremor in Afghanistan around the same time the magnitude of which was  4.7 on the Richter scale according to the USGS.

The tremor was felt at 12.35 pm IST.

Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Tuesday said India would provide all the support required to Nepal

"India is ready to provide all the support which Nepal would require," the minister told reporters.
