US Vice President JD Vance, along with his wife Usha Vance and their children, visited Amer Fort in Jaipur on Tuesday. They were given a warm welcome with traditional Rajasthani dance and decorated elephants.

US Vice President JD Vance, accompanied by his wife Usha Vance and their children, visited the Amer Fort in Jaipur on Tuesday, where they were warmly welcomed with a traditional Rajasthani dance and decorated elephants.

The Vances are on a four-day visit to India. The day before, JD Vance and his family visited the Central Cottage Industries Emporium in New Delhi, where they enjoyed shopping for pottery, papier-mâché items, and teas, as shared by the showroom’s GM Meera Somani.

The Vances also visited the Akshardham Temple in Delhi on Monday, where they spent about 55 minutes exploring the architecture and offering prayers for world peace. Their sons wore kurta-pyjamas, and their daughter wore an Anarkali-style outfit with an embroidered jacket.

Upon arriving in India, the Vance family was greeted at Palam Airport by Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and received a ceremonial Guard of Honour. JD Vance expressed his honour at meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi and called him a “great leader.” He also thanked PM Modi for hosting his family at his residence.

The Vice President expressed a desire to strengthen US-India ties, saying he looks forward to working under President Trump’s leadership to enhance cooperation between the two countries.

PM Modi, in return, highlighted the strong cooperation between the nations, especially in trade, technology, defence, energy, and people-to-people exchanges.

Vance will visit Agra on Wednesday with his family. The visit will conclude on April 24, with their departure from India at 6:40 am.
