US President Donald Trump’s address to the Israeli parliament on Monday was briefly interrupted when two left-wing lawmakers were quickly escorted out following an apparent protest.
Ayman Odeh and Ofer Cassif, from the Hadash-Ta’al party interrupted the Trump’s speech by holding signs calling for the recognition of Palestine. Security personnel immediately intervened and escorted both the members of the Knesset out of the chamber.
To this, President Trump paused and quipped: “That was very efficient.”
