Former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher has died at 87 following a stroke, her spokesman has said. Thatcher was the first woman Prime Minister of England and also its longest serving, ruling from 1979–1990. Her speech after becoming Prime Minister in 1979 was much quoted: “Where there is discord, may we bring harmony. Where there is error, may we bring truth. Where there is doubt, may we bring faith.
