In order to mark the One World Observatory in New York City, Earth Cam released a time-lapse video which shows the stunning One World Trade Centre rising from the ashes of Twin Towers through the 11 years it took to construct it.
The footage was captured throughout the decade-long cleaning and construction process of One World Trade Centre, commonly known as the Freedom Tower, right from October 2004 to May 2015.
The video allows you to witness the construction of the tower from the laying of the foundation of the skyscraper all the way to the finishing touches.
According to " target="_blank"> Earth Cam’s Youtube channel , hundreds of thousands of high definition images were captured over the past 11 years and hand-edited for this exclusive time-lapse movie.
The observatory, situated on the 100th-102nd floors of the Freedom tower, officially opened to the public this weekend.
