Sajeeb Wazed Joy, son of former Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, shared a video of LeT terrorist Muzammil Hashmi, claiming his role in the political unrest in Bangladesh. In the video, Hashmi was heard threatening India and hurling inflammatory comments against New Delhi.

The LeT terrorist not only threatened India but also claimed involvement in the toppling of the Hasina administration. On Wednesday, Wazed shared the video, unveiling the link between the Pakistan terror group and Bangladesh protests that eventually led to the end of the 15-year-long reign of Hasina.

About the gather

The public gathering where the LeT terrorist made the provocative statement was organised by the Pak Markazi Muslim League, which is touted as the political front of the terror group, News18 reported. As per the report, the event was held in Gujranwala to mark the anniversary of Pakistan’s nuclear weapon system.

“Tum hume apni goli se darate ho, Modi hum tujhe pegam dete hai, humari bacche teri misslo se nahi dare hum teri goli se kya darenge (You try to scare us with your bullets, Modi. We send you a message, our children aren’t afraid of your missiles, why would we fear your bullets?)," Hashmi said in the event.

“Hume khaufzada naa tere bade kar sake na tu kar sakega (Neither your elders could intimidate us, nor will you be able to)." “Tu tarikh dekh le is Hindustan ki tarikh, tere baap dada ki tareekh. Tere baap dada ne humesha hamare saamne paani bhara hai aur tu bhi bharega (Look at the history of India, the history of your forefathers. Your ancestors have always bowed before us, and so will you),” he added.

In his speech, Hashmi indirectly alluded to the turbulence in Bangladesh, taking credit for the whole saga. “Modi tu janta hai humne pichle saal tujhe Bangladesh me shikast di (Modi, you know we defeated you in Bangladesh last year)," he stated.

Meanwhile, in a separate virtual address, the former Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina , condemned what she called growing judicial leniency toward convicted war criminals and warned of increasing extremism under the current administration.  In the statement, Hasina also referred to the release of Jamaat-e-Islami leader ATM Azharul Islam.

“War criminals are being freed, and those who fought for our independence are now being persecuted. Is this the Bangladesh we fought for?” Hasina described the present situation as turning the country into “a haven for terrorists.” Hasina condemned the actions of the radicals, calling them “boot-licking agents of Pakistan” and accusing them of destroying the nation from within.
