Watch: US, Russian crew return after 6 months in space, US astronaut Peggy Whitson takes charge as commander of the ISS
Three crew members return safely from the International Space Station (ISS).
NASA astronaut Shane Kimbrough and Russian cosmonauts Sergey Ryzhikov and Andrey Borisenko returned safely to the earth from the International Space Station after 173 days. Kimbrough handed over the command of the $100 billion dollar ISS to Peggy Whitson, who is the only two time female commander of the ISS. In 2007, Whitson became the first woman commander of the ISS.
Taking to their Instagram handle, the space agency posted a few photos that featured phytoplanktons in turquoise, green, and light blue colour in water.

According to NASA’s post, the photo was captured by astronaut Shane Kimbrough. He is currently the Commander of NASA SpaceX Crew-2 mission to the International Space Station (ISS)
