US kills 11 narco-terrorists in maritime strikes across eastern Pacific and Caribbean

The United States killed 11 narco-terrorists in three separate maritime strikes in the eastern Pacific and the Caribbean on February 16, the US military said.

According to US Southern Command (SOUTHCOM), Joint Task Force Southern Spear carried out “three lethal kinetic strikes” on vessels operated by designated terrorist organisations. The operation was conducted at the direction of SOUTHCOM commander Gen. Francis L. Donovan.

The military said intelligence had confirmed that the vessels were moving along known drug-trafficking routes and were engaged in narcotics operations at the time of the strikes.

“Late on Feb. 16, at the direction of #SOUTHCOM commander Gen. Francis L. Donovan, Joint Task Force Southern Spear conducted three lethal kinetic strikes on three vessels operated by Designated Terrorist Organizations. Intelligence confirmed the vessels were transiting along known narco-trafficking routes and were engaged in narco-trafficking operations,” US Southern Command said in a statement posted on X.

Four men were killed on the first vessel in the eastern Pacific, four on a second vessel in the same region, and three on a third vessel in the Caribbean.

“Eleven male narco-terrorists were killed during these actions, 4 on the first vessel in the Eastern Pacific, 4 on the second vessel in the Eastern Pacific, and 3 on the third vessel in the Caribbean,” the statement added.

No US military personnel were harmed during the operation.
