Hunter Biden’s laptop is real, the Justice Department (DOJ) said in a court filing on Tuesday. This previously unreported information may have affected the 2020 presidential election. According to research, 71% of Americans think that truthful coverage of Hunter’s “Laptop from Hell” may have changed the outcome of the 2020 presidential contest. The Department of Justice established that the laptop belonged to Hunter by ascertaining that he had left it at a computer store and that the contents corresponded with what the police had acquired through an iCloud search order. “Investigators also later came into possession of the defendant’s Apple MacBook Pro, which he had left at the computer store,” prosecutors wrote: A search warrant was also acquired for his laptop, and the results of the search were mostly duplicative of material gathered from Apple by investigators before. Hunter Biden had insisted on giving a public testimony for months, but now he has consented to go before House Republicans for a private deposition next month. The two sides have decided that Hunter Biden will give a deposition on 28 February. This was revealed by the House Oversight Committee on Thursday. “The president’s son is a key witness in this investigation and he’s gonna be able to come in now and sit down and answer questions in a substantive, orderly manner,” Rep. James Comer, chair of the Oversight Committee, told reporters. He added that Hunter Biden will be able to testify publicly sometime after his deposition. Hunter Biden’s legal team verified the arrangement on Thursday night. Shortly after the New York Post published the laptop story, CNN reporter Natasha Bertrand authored the now-discredited Politico piece, which cited “dozens of former intelligence officials” to promote a false and deceptive narrative about Hunter’s laptop’s origins. The mainstream media waited more than a year to declare the tale was bogus. Hunter’s laptop has “authentic communications that can be verified,” the Washington Post revealed after 532 days of not pursuing the subject. After the original report appeared on October 24, 2020, CNN also eventually acknowledged that Hunter’s “laptop from hell” was real, while first labelling it as “made up” and “Russian disinformation.” Breitbart News claimed that the New York Times revealed, over two years later, that the emails found on Hunter’s laptop belonged to him. Additionally, fifteen media figures asserted that Hunter’s laptop emails were probably propaganda from Russia. In 2020, Lesley Stahl, a reporter for CBS News, most notably told President Donald Trump that there was no way to verify Hunter’s “laptop from hell.” President Joe Biden and his press secretary also gave inaccurate statements about the laptop’s origin, stating that “overwhelming evidence from the intelligence community” suggests it was Russian disinformation and that ‘Hunter’s laptop was just “a smear campaign” and “a bunch of garbage.”’ Jen Psaki, the former press secretary also said that the laptop was a part of “broad range of Russian disinformation.” Since it started in September, the president’s impeachment investigation has been largely on Hunter Biden and his dealings with foreign companies, raising concerns about whether the president benefited from that work. Thus far, it has been unable to unearth any proof that explicitly links Joe Biden to misconduct about his son’s employment. Hunter Biden is now being investigated by the special counsel and is being charged with crimes in two states. In Delaware, he is accused of breaking rules prohibiting drug users from possessing firearms in 2018, a time when he has disclosed that he was battling with addiction. More allegations were brought last month by special counsel David Weiss, who said he had not paid over $1.4 million in taxes over a three-year period. In all instances, he entered a not guilty plea.
