Early on Friday at George Bush Airport in Houston, a Boeing 737 MAX operated by United Airlines skidded off the runway and onto the grass, according to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

The FAA and National Transportation Safety Board will look into the incident. Six members of the crew and 160 passengers were unharmed. According to the FAA and United, they got off the aircraft and were driven to the terminal. The aircraft had taken off from Memphis.

As soon as it is safe to do so, United stated that it will remove the aircraft from the taxiway and “work with the NTSB, FAA, and Boeing to understand what happened”.

Separately, the NTSB said on Thursday it is investigating a Boeing 737 MAX 8 flight last month that experienced “stuck” rudder pedals after it touched down on the runway for its landing.
