Donald Trump has officially become the 47th President of the United States by winning the key battleground of Wisconsin.
The Republican leader’s Wisconsin win put him over the 270 threshold needed to clinch the presidency.
Trump became the second US president to return to the White House after a hiatus, the first one being Grover Cleveland.

The victory in Wisconsin validates his bare-knuckle approach to politics. He attacked his Democratic rival, Kamala Harris, in deeply personal — often misogynistic and racist — terms as he pushed an apocalyptic picture of a country overrun by violent migrants.
Congratulatory messages poured in from across the world as allies and others came together to hail Trump’s historic win.
In his victory speech, Trump said, “This is a magnificent victory for the American people that will allow us to make America great again,” the 78-year-old told cheering supporters at his campaign headquarters in Florida.
Gloom swiftly descended on Harris’s camp as she canceled a watch party for supporters who dreamed of seeing her elected as America’s first woman president.
“You won’t hear from the vice president tonight but you will hear from her tomorrow,” Cedric Richmond, Harris campaign co-chair, told a watch party in Washington as supporters left.
In a further blow to Democrats, Trump’s Republican Party also seized control of the Senate, flipping two seats to overturn a narrow Democratic majority.
