As the race for the White House intensifies former US President Donald Trump said that he would hold Jewish voters responsible if he loses the upcoming US Presidential Elections. While questioning Jewish Democrats who are planning to support his rival, Vice President Kamala Harris, Trump insisted that the religious community owed him their support because of his pro-Israel position in the ongoing Gaza war.
The proclamation from the former president came while he was addressing the Jewish donors at the “Fighting Anti-Semitism in America” event in Washington, DC. Trump continued with his lethal attack against the Democrats and did not take any questions at the event.
He also did not address reports regarding North Carolina Republican candidate Mark Robinson, referring to himself as a “black Nazi” on a porn website. In March this year, Trump gave his endorsement to Robinson, who has now denied the CNN report.
Trump accuses Harris of ‘hating’ Israel and Jews
During his address, the former president repeatedly claimed that Harris’s win would directly result in the elimination of Israel, an assertion he made during his first debate against the new Democratic presidential nominee as well. The former president also accused Harris of “hating Jews and Israel,” without giving any evidence to support his argument.
It is important to note that Harris’s husband Dough Emhoff is Jewish and Trump’s daughter Ivanka is also married to a Jew. “Despite presiding over this explosion of antisemitism, Kamala Harris has done absolutely nothing,” the 78-year-old Republican nominee averred.

Interestingly, at one point, Trump appeared to use Israel and American Jews interchangeably. “Israel, I believe, has to defeat her,” Trump said of Harris on Thursday. “More than any people on earth, Israel has to defeat her.”
The Trump campaign is eying to have a stronghold among the Jewish population. According to a survey conducted by Pew Research Centre, from Aug. 26 to Sept. 2, American Jews favour Harris over Trump with a figure of 65 per cent to 34 per cent.
During the Thursday event, Trump emphasised that a split was “not acceptable” and said, as he has before, that any Jewish American who votes for Harris “should have their head examined.” The Thursday event was hosted by Miriam Adelson, a Jewish philanthropist who has contributed over $25 million to Trump and some other Republican candidates who are part of the election cycle.
