President Donald Trump on Monday said he is considering redirecting $3 billion in grant funding away from “antisemitic Harvard” and allocating it instead to trade schools across the United States.

Taking to Truth Social, Trump said, “I am considering taking Three Billion Dollars of Grant Money away from a very antisemitic Harvard, and giving it to TRADE SCHOOLS all across our land. What a great investment that would be for the USA, and so badly needed!!!”

His comments come less than a week after his administration blocked Ivy League school from enrolling foreign students.

Trump also expressed frustration over Harvard University’s delay in providing foreign student lists, which he says are necessary to identify potentially radicalised individuals who should be barred from re-entering the United States.

“We are still waiting for the Foreign Student Lists from Harvard so that we can determine, after a ridiculous expenditure of BILLIONS OF DOLLARS, how many radicalized lunatics, troublemakers all, should not be let back into our Country. Harvard is very slow in the presentation of these documents, and probably for good reason!” he said in another post.

“The best thing Harvard has going for it is that they have shopped around and found the absolute best Judge (for them!) - But have no fear, the Government will, in the end, WIN!” he added.

On Friday, a federal judge issued a temporary halt to the Trump administration’s move to bar Harvard University from enrolling international students.

According to a CNN report, US District Court Judge Allison Burroughs handed down the ruling just hours after Harvard filed a lawsuit on Friday, claiming the revocation of its certification under the Student and Exchange Visitor Programme was a form of “clear retaliation” for the university’s rejection of ideologically driven policy demands by the government.

Earlier, the White House had doubled down on its stance taken against Harvard, calling lawsuit ‘frivolous’

“If only Harvard cared this much about ending the scourge of anti-American, anti-Semitic, pro-terrorist agitators on their campus they wouldn’t be in this situation to begin with,” Reuters quoted White House spokesperson Abigail Jackson as saying.

“Harvard should spend their time and resources on creating a safe campus environment instead of filing frivolous lawsuits,” she added.

Russia has gained about $216 billion from rising gold prices since its 2022 invasion of Ukraine, offsetting Western sanctions that froze $300 billion in assets. Gold now makes up 43% of Russia’s reserves, blunting the impact of sanctions and reshaping global reserve strategies.
