The White House on Friday said that over 500 illegal migrants have been apprehended, with many deported via military aircraft as part of a major ongoing initiative to tackle the issue of undocumented immigrants in the country.

Taking to X, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said, “The Trump Administration arrested 538 illegal immigrant criminals including a suspected terrorist, four members of the Tren de Aragua gang, and several illegals convicted of sex crimes against minors. The Trump Administration also deported hundreds of illegal immigrant criminals via military aircraft. The largest massive deportation operation in history is well underway. Promises made. Promises kept.”

In a separate post on X, Leavitt said deportation flights have begun.

“Deportation flights have begun. President Trump is sending a strong and clear message to the entire world: if you illegally enter the United States of America, you will face severe consequences,” she added, releasing photos of people boarding military aircraft.

According to Fox News Digital, ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations arrested more than 460 illegal immigrants between midnight January 21 and 9 am January 22, a 33-hour period, including criminal histories of sexual assault, robbery, burglary, aggravated assault, drugs and weapons offenses, resisting arrest and domestic violence.

Agents arrested nationals from a slew of countries, including Afghanistan, Angola, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Senegal and Venezuela, added the report.
