United Airlines has announced its largest expansion to date by adding eight new destinations spanning three continents.

From May 2025, passengers flying with United Airlines will be able to travel to destinations across Europe, Asia and Africa.

What are the new destinations?

The Chicago-based airline has added the following destinations to its timetable:

  • Nuuk, Greenland

  • Palermo, Italy

  • Bilbao, Spain

  • Madeira Island, Portugal

  • Faro, Portugal

  • Dakar, Senegal

  • Tokyo-Narita to Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, and Kaohsiung, Taiwan

Daily flights in summer 2025

Next summer, United Airlines plans to operate 800 daily flights to 147 international locations, including 40 destinations not offered by any other US-based airline. This expansion solidifies United’s position as the world’s largest airline and the leading US carrier in terms of international reach.

United will introduce seasonal daily flights from Washington/Dulles to Venice, Italy, beginning on May 22, and four-times-weekly flights to Nice, France, starting May 24. The airline will also resume service to Athens from Newark/New York on March 6, Venice on March 29, and Dubrovnik on May 1, with plans to increase these routes to daily service.
