Unidentified drone attacks southern Israeli city of Eilat

The Israeli military said on Thursday that an unidentified drone had struck a residential building in the southern Israeli city of Eilat. According to emergency services, there were only minor reported damages and no injuries. “The identity of the UAV and the details of the incident are under review,” the military said in a statement. The Houthi movement in Yemen, which is aligned with Iran, has launched numerous missile and drone attacks on Israel in recent weeks, but all of them have either been shot down or failed. The Houthis are a part of the hostile regional alliance against Israel and the United States, which is aligned with Iran and includes Hezbollah in Lebanon. This alliance has supported Hamas in its ongoing conflict with Israel. More than a thousand miles from Israel, the Houthis control large portions of Yemen, including the capital city of Sanaa. In an incident on October 27, Israel claimed the Houthis were responsible for a drone attack that resulted in explosions in two Red Sea towns in Egypt, claiming the attacks were meant to target Israel.
