According to a diplomat, the UN Security Council is scheduled to convene on Sunday. Israel has asked the council to denounce Iran’s invasion of Israel and label the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps as a terrorist group.

Speaking under anonymity, the diplomat stated on Saturday that the proposed meeting time was 4 p.m. ET (2000 GMT).

In a letter to the president of the council on Saturday, Gilad Erdan, Israel’s ambassador to the UN, asked that the council call an emergency meeting.
