Ukraine says one killed as Russia launches 25 drones overnight

The Ukrainian military stated on Friday that it had shot down eighteen of the twenty-five Russian drones that it had launched overnight, all but two of which had been in southern Ukraine. The strikes had resulted in one person being killed and damage to a warehouse and farm equipment. According to information released by Ukraine’s Southern Military Command on the Telegram messaging app, there was damage to a cultural centre and one civilian was murdered and another injured in strikes on the southern Kherson region. It added that agricultural equipment, a hangar, and a warehouse were damaged in the nearby Mykolaiv area. According to the Ukrainian Air Force, two missiles and two drones were launched from the seized portion of the Kherson region, as well as from southwest Russia and Russian-controlled Crimea.
