The British government announced that it has revised its travel advice for Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territories, advising against all but necessary travel as battle raged nearby Gaza following a violent incursion by gunmen from Islamist group Hamas. The United Kingdom had previously warned avoiding visiting Gaza at all costs, but on Sunday it updated that advice for the entire nation and added many locations in Israel near the Gaza border. In order to keep them informed of any additional changes to travel advice, the British Foreign Office also requested that any Britons who were currently present in Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territories record their presence there.
