Two Pentagon officials charged for organising dog fights; 'executed those who lose'

Two pentagon officials including Deputy Chief of Defense and were charged for allegedly running a dogfighting ring in Anne Arundel County in the United States. Among the two, Frederick Douglass Moorefield, a Deputy Chief Information Officer for Command, Control, and Communications, for Office of the Secretary of Defense from Arnold, and Mario Damon Flythe, from Glen Burnie have been charged with promoting and advancing animal fighting operations. According to the affidavit presented in sourt, Moorefield and Flythe used an encrypted messaging service to contact with people all around the country about dogfighting. The two along with their colleagues used the encrypted messaging app to discuss how to train dogs for unlawful dogfighting, trade dogfighting movies, and schedule and coordinate dogfights. Moorefield and Flythe used the names “Geehad Kennels” and “Razor Sharp Kennels” to designate their respective dogfighting organizations. According to the Department of Justice, Moorefield and Flythe also discussed dogfighting betting, dogs that died as a result of dogfighting, and media accounts about dogfighters apprehended by law enforcement. Following the lead, Law enforcement authorities executed search warrants at Moorefield and Flythe’s Maryland homes on September 6. There, the federal government recovered and seized 12 dogs. Law officials also found veterinary drugs, training plans, a carpet that seemed to be splattered with blood, and a weighted dog vest with the patch “Geehad Kennels.” In addition, according to records, law enforcement investigators seized a device consisting of an electrical plug and jumper wires, which the affidavit claims are similar with devices used to execute canines that lose dogfights. They were ordered to be released pending trial while being monitored by US Pretrial Services.
