After the settlement of the long feud, Russia tried to come into the wider picture amid US tensions by reaffirming Moscow’s alliance with China.
Mishustin’s visit to China
Russia sent its large delegation along with high profile officials to China for collaboration. China’s Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin departed for China on Monday to meet President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Qiang on Monday. The meeting majorly focused on economic and technological consultations. The visit is a heads-of-government meeting which later proceeded for talks with Chinese President Xi.
Mishustin called Xi his “dear friend” as reported by Russian state news agency Ria Novosti. Qiang said that China was ready to strengthen cooperation with Russia despite obstacles as quoted by CNBC.
Russia and China have always maintained mutual understanding, since Beijing has also refused to condemn Moscow’s action in the invasion of Ukraine in 2022.
The Kremlin attached the very great importance of Mishustin’s visit to China, as said by the Spokesman Dmitry Peskov on Friday.
