Trump warns Putin is ‘playing with fire’ after recent drone and missile attack on Ukraine

US President Donald Trump on Tuesday warned Russian President Vladimir Putin that he was “playing with fire,” amid a recent spike in drone and missile attacks in Ukraine, the most intense since Russia’s full-scale attack began in early 2022.

In a post on his social media platform Truth Social, Trump said,”What Vladimir Putin doesn’t realize is that if it weren’t for me, lots of really bad things would have already happened to Russia, and I mean REALLY BAD. He’s playing with fire!,”

According to reports, Trump is reportedly considering imposing new sanctions on Russia and removing all restrictions on Ukraine’s use of weapons in the ongoing war. These potential measures come amid growing frustration from Trump over Russian President Vladimir Putin’s rejection of peace proposals and the recent surge in missile and drone attacks that have killed dozens in Ukraine.

Speaking on Sunday, Trump described Putin as having “gone absolutely crazy” and said the Russian leader has no idea “what the hell” happened to him, reflecting increasing tensions as the conflict intensifies.
