US President Donald Trump has intensified his feud with former President Barack Obama by sharing a meme that parodies the 1994 OJ Simpson police chase.
In it, Obama is depicted as the fugitive in a white Ford Bronco, with Trump chasing him in a police cruiser.
The meme, originally shared by Donald Trump Jr., also features Vice President JD Vance in a second police car, sporting his college-era long hair.
Though Vance wasn’t the main focus, his appearance sparked a wave of attention, with social media users turning the image into new memes.
Vance too leaned into the buzz, reposting the meme on X with a laughing emoji, boosting its viral spread.
Earlier on July 21, Trump also shared an AI-generated deepfake video on Truth Social, showing Obama being arrested by FBI agents in the Oval Office while Trump watches, smirking.
The video, which went viral, raised fresh concerns about AI’s role in political propaganda.
The attacks align with claims from former Democratic presidential candidate and current Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard. She says she has over 100 declassified documents from 2020 that prove senior Obama-era officials fabricated the Trump-Russia collusion narrative to undermine the 2016 election. Gabbard plans to submit these to the Department of Justice and FBI, alleging that political bias tainted the intelligence process.
Trump directly accused Obama of treason, claiming he orchestrated the Russia collusion story to rig the 2016 election.
“It’s there, he’s guilty. This was treason. They tried to rig the election and they got caught — and there should be very severe consequences for that,” Trump said.

View AllAn Obama spokesperson called the accusations “a bizarre and ridiculous accusation” and “a weak attempt at distraction.”
In a rare statement issued on Tuesday (July 22), Obama spokesperson Patrick Rodenbush said, “Out of respect for the office of the presidency, our office does not normally dignify the constant nonsense and misinformation flowing out of this White House with a response. But these claims are outrageous enough to merit one.”
