A Mumbai family is among those waiting desperately for news of the missing Malasia Airlines Flight 370, which was carrying five Indians when it lost radar contact. Reuters.[/caption] Borivali resident Vinod Kolekar, 63, accompanied by his wife and son were flying to Beijing to attend the convocation of his eldest son Sanved, who has just completed a PhD in astrophysics, said a report in The Times of India. It was the first time ever that Chetana, the wife of the former Mahindra & Mahindra engineer, was taking a flight. “She was both nervous and excited about the flight,” recalled Sheetal Nar, a resident of Sukh Sagar in Yogi Nagar where the Kolekars lived, according to the report. Their son Sanved was already at Beijing airport waiting to receive them when he heard about the flight going missing. Also accompanying Vinod and Chetana was Swanand, their younger son, aged 23.
