Saudi Arabia releases name of suicide bombers who targeted Shia mosques

Riyadh: Saudi Arabia on Wednesday named 16 of its nationals as terrorists, who are believe to be related to two suicide blasts that targeted Shia mosques in an eastern city, a media report said. The interior ministry offers cash rewards of $1.3 million for information that could lead to their arrests, and another $1.8 million for those who can provide tips to avoid further attacks, Xinhua reported citing Al Arabiya News. Following the bombing attack, which was later claimed by the Islamic State (IS), Saudi Arabia has tighten security at all mosques in the country, and plans to fix CCTV cameras and deploy guards at mosques. Four people were killed on Friday when a car exploded near a Shia mosque in Saudi Arabia’s eastern city of Dammam, SaudiPress Agency reported. The incident came a week after a suicide bombing hit a Shia mosque in Al Qatif area in eastern part of the Kingdom, killing 21 worshipers and injuring 101 others. The IS group also claimed that it was behind the blast. IANS
