Four devastating days in, and evacuations and relief management are the order of the day in Nepal, post the horrific 7.9 magnitude earthquake that hit the area. The Indian army soldiers are doing their best to evacuate victims from Nepal. [caption id=“attachment_2216008” align=“alignleft” width=“380”] Rescuers help Representation image. PTI[/caption] So far 2,246 Indians have been evacuated from Nepal, while nearly 1,000 trained personnel of the National Disaster Response Force are working on relief and rescue operations. According to this Rediff report , India’s rescue mission, titled ‘Operation Maitri’ has been moved to the epicentre of the earthquake – Barpark village. All this while a group of engineers opened up the road to Kathmandu from India so that relief materials and equipment can be moved faster. Lauding the Indian forces’ efforts, the hashtag #Salute2IndianForces was trending on Twitter all of Tuesday morning. Here are a couple of tweets praising the Indian army soldiers:
